Easter Weekend

I had a very nice weekend that started a little early this time. Friday was a slow day at work. I spent most of the day catching up on paperwork and trying to find something to do. Amanda (the other assistant) got to leave at 1pm. Me and Kelli were the only ones there after lunch. Kelli let me leave at 3pm. I had to work at The Bronx at 5. I really didn't feel like working that day, so I called in. I came home and took a long nap.

After my nap I took a shower and went to pick up Les. He came over to spend the night. We stayed up all night watching movies. Well, I could only stay up long enough to watch one. I went to bed while he watched the other.

Saturday we got up and made breakfast taquitos. We spent most of the day laying around, being lazy. I did get up enough energy to do his taxes. Around 5 I dropped him off. I came back home and watched another movie. After I watched that movie, I saw that The Matrix was on TV, so I watched that. And I had 3 glasses of wine. I never think to drink the alcohol that I have. I felt all grown up drinking my wine and flipping through my In Style magazine.

Sunday I didn't want to get out of bed. I got up and got ready. I went to Mom's house, and me, Mom, and Aunt Lana went to brunch at Mattitos. It was sooooooooo good. I ate so much food! After brunch, we came home and I caught up on the Lost episodes I had missed. I was over there most of the day. When I came home, I watched the Bee Movie, cleaned my kitchen, and put up my laundry.

It was a good weekend. I think next weekend I'm going to go shopping!

Busy, busy, busy

Yep, I've been busy.

Friday I went to work. And then after work I went to work. Unfortunately it was a waist of time to work at The Bronx because I only made $20.

Saturday I got up early and went over to Kristin's. We picked up Amber and went to the St Patrick's Day Parade on Greenville Ave. It was a lot of fun. We started out at Lovers and Greenville, where we watched the parade. Then we went down to Lower Greenville and walked around. We did a lot of walking that day. My legs are still killing me.

Sunday I had to go to work. We were short handed, but I was glad. I ended up making $160. I was so excited. After work I came home and spent the rest of the day being lazy.

Today I had jury duty. I got out of it because you have to live in Dallas to serve, and I live in Garland. So I was glad about that. After I left the courthouse, I went to both of the tow truck offices. Of course nobody was there that could help me. After leaving the second office, I started crying in my car. I'm just so frustrated. And I don't know what to do. It will be such a hassle to sue them, but I don't want to let them get away with this. I don't understand how people can live their lives like this. So, I don't know what to do about it.

I came home, watched Martha Stewart, and took a nap. It felt good to have the day off. After my nap, I showered and went over to Les'. We had a really good time tonight. I love nights like these. Now I am at home, wishing I didn't have to go to work tomorrow.

I feel like a different person than I was a month ago. I am no longer depressed or worried about money. I have a good job, my benefits start in April, I have time off to do things, and I feel more independent. I can't tell you how nice it was to be able to take Mom out for her birthday and pay for everything AND buy her a gift. Also, it was so nice to not have to request off of work to go to the parade. We decided kind of last minute to go. It's just a nice feeling.

I'm looking forward to next weekend. Les is coming over to stay with me. We will probably stay up all night watching movies and sleep in late. Sunday I want to see if Mom wants to go to brunch for Easter. And I don't have to work next weekend. I always like that!

Don't mes with me!

We all know about my towing incident. Just in case you don't, here is a quick overview. I was towed Feb 15 from across the street from The Bronx. They said I was in a handicap space, but I wasn't. I had to pay $138.30 to get my car. The next week we talk to the place and they say that it was towed by mistake and they will refund the money. 3 weeks later they still haven't given us the money, and now they say it's a good tow. I got Howard and Jess (the owners of The Bronx) involved, but no progress has been made.

Well, tonight the tow truck showed up again to tow a car. Me and Jarko ran across the street to make sure they weren't towing illegally. As soon as we walk up, the driver starts mouthing off. Asking us if we were going to call the cops again. (Last time they towed a car, we called the cops because they broke into it to tow it.) Anyways, he gets back in the truck and starts to drive off. As he is passing us, he is yelling at us. I can't really understand what he is saying, so I told him to fuck off. That got him hyped up and he stopped the car. We are yelling back and forth, and then he says "Do you want to settle this?" and gets out of the truck. I asked him if he was going to hit a girl, and he said "No, I'm going to hit him" and points to Jarko. Jarko starts yelling, and I jump in front of Jarko and tell the guy that I'm the one yelling at him. I was pretty sure he wasn't going to do anything to either of us. But I kept my eye on the other guy in the truck, because I knew if he got out of the truck then we had a problem. Anyways, he got in his truck and drove off yelling at us. But he didn't tow the car he was eyeing.

I probably wouldn't have done that, had I not had so much built up anger for them. Just wait till Monday when I pay both offices a visit!

FYI....I'm not parking in that parking lot anymore.

Target...

....is the devil!

I can't go into Super Target without spending $100. Last time I bought groceries there, I ended up spending $98. I went tonight and I spent $118. I can't believe it! But I did buy 2 new shirts and a dress. And I also bought groceries. I need to stick to Wal-Mart, since I'm so tempted to buy everything at Target.

I can't believe it's already 11pm. This day has gone by so fast. I went to work this morning, which was a waist of time. Then I came home and tried real hard not to take a nap. Around 6 I headed to Target and spent 2 hours and way too much money there. Then I came home, chatted with Kristin, and watched TV. Now it's bedtime.

Tomorrow I am going on my diet. I hate to call it that, but that's pretty much what it is. I didn't get any lunch meat today, so I have to be creative with much lunch tomorrow. I think I might have carrots, fruit, and maybe chips. I don't know, but it should be interesting. Usually if I drink orange juice in the morning, I'm not all that hungry at lunch.

Hopefully tomorrow won't be to stressful. We are getting a new assistant, so that should help out a lot. But Friday was crazy, and Monday is usually an over-flow of Friday. But hopefully it won't be so bad.

My day off

Today was a much needed day off. It kind of sucks only have one day off. I need to get a lot done, but I just want to sleep instead. Since I've started my new job, I haven't been able to sleep past 11am on my day off. I got up around 10 this morning and called Becca to wish her a happy birthday. Then I got up and ate lunch. After lounging on the couch, I cleaned the kitchen. Around 2 or 3 I was tired, so I took a nap. I love naps. I eventually got out of bed and got ready.

I met Mom, Aunt Lana, Debbie, and Rachel at Primos in Rockwall. We all went out for Mom's birthday. Primos doesn't have the best margaritas, but they do have yummy food. I got the primos nachos, and they were to die for. But that place was packed! We waited almost an hour for a table. But it was worth it.

Unfortunately daylight savings time is tonight. I need to reset my clock before I forget. So that means that it's really 11:30pm, which sucks because I have to get up at 8. Did I mention that I hate working on Sundays? Well, I guess I will get to bed. I will leave you with some pictures for Kristin and Stacey's 80's birthday party. Enjoy!

Where has she gone?

I know it has been way too long since I've posted something. I have been very busy with my new job. I say busy, but it's not like I take my work home with me. More like I get up early, go to work, come home and eat, and then go to bed at 9. Getting up early is not so bad, but not passing out when I get home is something that I am still working on.

I like the new job so far. It's pretty stressful, but I like it. Friday is the other assistant's last day, so after that I will be on my own. And that's a little scary.

Other than work, not much has happened. Kristin had an 80's Birthday party. It was both good and bad, but I won't go into that. Everyone looked cute in their 80's outfits. We should have themed parties more often.

I've been spending more time with Mom lately. I have Saturdays off now, so we usually go do something. This Sunday is her birthday, so we are going out to eat. But we haven't decided on a place yet.

Oh! Pitbull is coming to town. I HAVE to go see him. Chelsey might go with me. Also Jarko from work might go. I just need someone to go with me because I don't want to go alone. And I will be sad if I don't get to go.

Well, as usual, I'm tired. I think I'm going to get in bed and read. Yes, that sounds like a good idea :)
