A day at the pool

Last week I finally got to go to the pool. It's been so hot lately, and all I wanted to do was go swimming. I went with a couple of friends and their kids. I only had my camera phone, but I got some cute pictures.

Deep Ellum Outdoor Market

Last month Mom and I went to the Deep Ellum Outdoor Market. While we were there, we visited the DFW Rescue Me tent and they were kind enough to let me take pictures of all the adorable dogs up for adoption. Here are just a few pictures. If you are interested in any of these dogs you can visit them here.

There were also all kinds of handmade and vintage goodies. I'm saving up my money and going back for the glass flowers!

Meet Ally

My friend Kristin got a little puppy named Ally. She is so stinkin adorable. And she's a Papillon & Bishon Frise mix. They had to go out of town last week so I got to doggy sit. Just feast your eyes on the cuteness!

Richard & Shellye's Wedding Reception

Last weekend I also attended a wedding reception. The reception was for a couple that got married in Vegas, but wanted to have a reception for those that couldn't go to Vegas. I made the cake and cupcakes for this event. I always say I won't make cakes for weddings, but somehow I always say yes :) We made the cake and cupcakes with a Dallas Mavericks theme. She had the cutest bobbleheads made for the topper, and the cake read "husband and wife, and Mavs fans for life." IT was super cute. I was also asked to photograph the reception. I've recently been thinking about pursuing photography as a career, so I was excited for my first paid job. I was also pretty nervous! Everyone that RSVP'd didn't make it, so some of the things that were planned (cutting the cake, throwing the boquet) didn't happen. But I think I got some pretty good pictures. If you'd like to see all the pictures click here.
