Last Friday was Amanda's last day at work. Since she is going to Costa Rica, I decided to make cupcakes. I wanted to make the icing bright blue and find little surfboards to put on top, but I couldn't find any. I ended up making the cupcakes Thursday night. I was up till midnight working on them, so I decided to keep it simple. I made chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter icing. The icing was yummy, but I thought the cake could have had more chocolate. She really liked them, so that made me feel good. I sure do miss her!
A couple weeks ago I cut all my hair off. I've been thinking about it for a while and just decided to do it. I like it, but I have decided to go shorter. I have an appointment on Saturday.
Last weekend I started working on my headboard. Saturday Mom and I went to buy all the materials. The guy at Home Depot suggested that we use hard board instead of plywood. So when we got ready to staple the fabric to the board, the staples popped out. That damn board was inpenetratable! So I had to go back on Tuesday and buy plywood. Mom came over Wednesday and we finished it. It turned out better than I expected. Below are some pictures of the final product. You can't see the buttons on the bottom, but they are there. Sorry my camera sucks, so the pictures aren't that great.
I've been addicted to the Olympics! I watch it every night until like midnight. All I watch is swimming and gymnastic. Michael Phelps is a machine! 12 gold medals. Is that even possible?! I didn't know that swimmers were so cute. I've been drooling over them all week. I've also been glued to the TV during the gymnastic competition. I will probably stay up late watching them tonight :)
