I'm finally getting around to posting pictures from my Oklahoma trip. I was actually waiting to get the rest of the pictures from a friend, but I guess this will have to do.
I drove up to Beavers Bend, OK a couple of weeks ago. I left Dallas around 5pm. It's a 3 hr. trip, but somehow it turned into a 5 hr. trip. I drove by myself, which wasn't bad until it got dark and the road turned into 2 lanes. I ended up taking a wrong turn which threw me off schedule. Then I had the hardest time finding the cabin. Literally the direction the front desk gave me were "go over one hill and half way up the second hill will be a dirt road on the left. Follow that around and there will be another dirt road on the left." I never would have found it if Kyle hadn't rescued me.
Finally everyone got there a little after midnight. We ended up drinking and getting in the hot tub.
Saturday we woke up and had breakfast. Then we went on a hike. I was pretty surprised that I finished it. I'm definitely not the hiking type. After the hike Kristin, Stacey, and I went to a winery in town. We did some shopping and had some wine. When we got home we made dinner: hot dogs and veggie kabobs. And of course we ended the night in the hot tub!
Sunday we got up and had breakfast. Then we packed up and headed home. It was a short trip, but much needed. Next time we will have to stay longer and drive down during the day.
