Play time

Last Saturday we had our carpets cleaned, so that meant the dogs had to hang out in the yard. I decided to turn it into a photo shoot. Riley loves playing with her outside toys, so I tried to get some action shots. I also got some good pictures of Roxie. She always hides from the camera, so it was exciting that she looked at the camera. And how cute are puppy tongues?!

Rainy Days

Today has been gloomy and wet, and all I want to do is curl up in bed. It always seems like that when I have a to do list a mile long. And it doesn't help that I was up until 4am sneezing and sniffling. I had every intention on getting up early and tackling my to do list, but I found myself waking up at noon to a dark room and a comfy bed. Luckily someone picked up my shift at work tonight, so I plan on getting stuff done. I have quite a few cakes coming up, so I have to get everything in order. I also have to plan out a menu for the week. Before I started working at Bucca I was eating well, but late nights have resulted in way too much fast food consumption. After reading an issue of Whole Living I was inspired to revamp my tired menu. I'm also excited to start a new workout regime. My friend is a stay at home mommy, so we decided to workout together during the day (since I mostly work at night). She just moved into the cutest little neighborhood not too far from me, so I plan on taking the doggies over and walking 3 times a week. It's just a start and hopefully will lead to more exercise.

Time well spent

Man this blog has been a ghost town lately! The past couple of weeks I've had a long term sub assignment during the day and work at night. Last Sunday was my only day off that week. I slept in and then Mom and I headed to the movies to see Scream 4. After the movies we went out to eat. On Monday it was back to work.

Yesterday was another day off. I started off the day with a massage. My mom gave me a gift card for a massage, so I thought it was a good time to use it. This month I've been super stressed out with work, cakes, and my financial situation. It's was so relaxing that I think I might make it a regular thing. Then I went out to lunch with my friend Kristin and her daughter. We had lunch at the mall and then did some shopping. I ended up spending way too much money at Lush and Sephora. We left the mall to go pick up my other niece and grabbed some ice cream on the way home. It was so nice spending the day with the girls. I don't see them as much as I should.

Today I'm back to baking. I've done so many cakes this month that I can hardly keep track of them all!
