Fair Day

I know I have been away. So much has happened, so I’m going to break it up into different posts.

Last Tuesday Mom and I went to the fair. I hadn’t been in 2 years, so I was super excited to go. We got there around noon and didn’t leave until 9:30 pm. We decided to do more than just ride the rides this year.

We started off with a yummy corn dog. Then we ventured off to the dog shows. Watching those dogs made me want one even more. The trainers did this trick where they patted their belly and the dog would jump up into their arms. I want to teach my dog to do that. I just have to make sure I catch it :) We watched 2 dog shows: dog tricks and dancing with the dogs. They were both really cute.

After the dog shows, we headed to the petting zoo. We got to see all the cute baby animals. The giraffe was my favorite. Well, that and the sleeping donkey.
Then we went into the building that had all the clothes and crafts. Mom bought me a Sham Wow. Hopefully it will be useful for my future dog (or cat) accidents. I found some really cute shirts that I liked. They were called How Cute. They kind of looked like the same style as Ed Hardy. I ended up buying 3 of them. I also bought some diva sunglasses.

After shopping we headed to the car show. I saw a few cars that I’d like to have. I really liked the sporty Honda Accord. I also like the new Mazda 6 and one of the Sicon cars. Too bad I don’t have the money to get a new car.

After looking at all the cars, we headed to the Midway. I rode a couple rides and got some pictures. Then we headed down to the light show. We didn’t stick around to watch it long. We went back to the Midway and I spent the rest of our tickets riding rides.

I had a lot of fun. I’m so glad I got to go this year. It’s one of my favorite things!

Party Time

Well, this horrid week finally came to an end. Friday I went to work at The Bronx, expecting a big party, only to find out the party was cancelled. Luckily I got to go home and didn't have to stay at work. I was feeling pretty down, so I decided to go over to Mom's.
This weekend was Liz and Lizeth's birthday. We were going out on Saturday for Liz's birthday, so I decided to make her some cupcake pops. I had seen them online and had been wanting to try making them. So I gathered up all the supplies (and some movies) and headed to Mom's. We ended up staying up until almost 4am making those pops. But it was fun. They turned out super cute and everyone loved them. I will definitely be making more of these in the future.
They have lemon cake inside and melted chocolate on the outside.
Saturday I got up and went to go get my hair cut. I cut it shorter in the back. I've gotten a lot of compliments on it. After my hair appointment, I headed to the cake store. I ended up spending more than I had planned, but I came home with a lot of stuff. I mainly went to buy stuff to make sugarpaste flowers and stuff for my Halloween cupcakes. Friday is a girl I work with's birthday, so I promised I would make her red velvet cupcakes. I'm going to make them pink and try making sugarpaste flowers to decorate them. I've never worked with sugarpaste, so this should be interesting.
After running errands all day, I was exhausted. I came home and took a nap. After my nap I got up, got ready, and met Kristin, Amber, Liz, and Ceaser at Amber's place. Then we went to Zephyr's and met up with Cheyenne and his friend Jonathan. I really had a good time. We had some drinks, laughed, and danced. I didn't get home until 3am. Needless to say I passed out as soon as I got in bed.

Today was a lazy day for me. I slept until 1 and then took a nap later on in the day. My allergies have been bothering me today, so I didn't do much. Oh well, that's what Sundays are for!
I finally uploaded the pictures of my pumpkins. Here they are below.

Still laughing

I couldn't figure out a way to get this video on to my blog, so instead click here to watch it. It is the funniest thing ever. I laughed so hard I started crying. And I was laughing too hard to see the end, so I had to watch it again.

I don't know if this will be as funny to people who have never owned cats. But to cat owners, this is typical.

Cherry, Apple & Apricot

Today was another stressful day. Why? I have no clue. I feel like I need a break. I need to get away from work (both jobs) and get away from everything and just be. I'd like to sit on a bench under a tree with the sun above and a faint breeze blowing through my hair. Will it happen? Probably not, but it's a nice image. Anyways, hopefully I will feel better after the weekend.

I've decided that I need to spend more time on myself. I feel like I never have time for myself, so now I need to make time. I need to make time to put on makeup and jewelry in the mornings. Time to paint my nails. Time to lather on lotion every night. Time to read a book before going to bed. Time to cook myself dinner, and not feel so rushed. Right now I feel like all I do is work, sleep, and watch TV. I'm tired when I wake up and I'm tired at 9 pm. I need to make myself do things instead of just laying in bed or on the couch. Even if I just do one thing a day. So that is my new plan.

On a brighter note, tonight was the premier of Pushing Daisies! It was better than I had imagined it would be!

I find myself laughing and smiling the entire time the show is on. If you don't watch it, I suggest you start! But you will find yourself craving pie :)

And did I mention that I'm in love with the pie maker?

Tonight as I was outside watering my plants, I saw 3 cats running down the creek. I thought to myself "Wow, those are some big cats!" Then I realized they were not cats, but instead they were raccoons. And after the 3 had passed, a fourth came chasing after them. I know they can be scary and crazy, but they looked so cute running together as a little raccoon family.
